Connecting to the license server from Sage Estimating
Before you can use Sage Estimating Sage Estimating with your activated license on a client workstation, you need to specify the computer on your network that is acting as the Sage license server.
You can use the Licensing tab in the Configuration Wizard to specify the license server, or you can use the License Administration window.
When you start Sage Estimating, the application connects to the specified Sage license server to acquire a license use for your workstation.
To connect a workstation to the license server:

Start the Configuration wizard.
Click the Configuration Wizard tile on the Start menu, or right-click outside the tile area, and then click All apps > Sage > Configuration Wizard.
Important! You may need to elevate your permissions before starting the Configuration wizard. On the Start menu, right-click Configuration Wizard, and then select Run as administrator.

In the navigation pane of the Configuration Wizard, click Licensing.

In the right-hand pane, select the Connect to a remote license server option, and then click [].

In the Specify License Server window that opens:
- In the Computer box, enter the name of the computer on your network that is running the license server.
- In the Port number box, ensure that the port is set to 48650.
- Click [].
Note: A green check mark appears beside the Licensing item in the navigation pane if you connected to the license server successfully.
